US spot Bitcoin ETFs ended a turbulent week with approximately $301 million in net inflows, breaking a two-week losing streak, according to Decrypt. The gain came even as two consecutive days of outflows left the funds down about $314 million for October.
Decrypt reported that the funds shed $137.9 million on Friday after a $635.6 million exit on Thursday, the biggest single-day outflow of the month. Those late-week redemptions totaled about $773.5 million and offset much of the roughly $1.07 billion that flowed in from Monday through Wednesday. Cryptobriefing also reported the roughly $301 million weekly result, though it gave the provisional figure as $301.2 million for the trading days ending October 24.

Early-week buying carries the week
Cryptobriefing reported daily flows that show the week’s two halves: Monday added $526.7 million, Tuesday $23.2 million and Wednesday $524.8 million. The combined three-day total was about $1.07 billion.
The two reports differ on where demand was concentrated. Decrypt reported the aggregate weekly and monthly figures without naming a top issuer. Cryptobriefing reported that IBIT’s week-to-date inflow of $565.7 million exceeded the total net inflow across all funds, meaning the rest of the field was net negative. IBIT also led Friday’s redemptions at $110.3 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC saw $31.8 million leave the same day. The two outlets also gave different totals for Bitcoin fund assets: Decrypt cited $100.2 billion in total net assets, while Cryptobriefing estimated assets under management between $104.7 billion and $109 billion.

Prices slip as global markets weaken
Bitcoin fell 1.1% to about $80,490 on Saturday and was down 1.2% for the week, according to Decrypt. Ether dropped 2.6% to roughly $2,344, Solana lost 2.8% to about $101, and the total crypto market cap slipped 1.2% to $2.79 trillion. Decrypt tied the weakness to a midweek selloff in global markets, when oil climbed above $111 a barrel and AI stocks slid.
Prediction market traders grew more cautious on Bitcoin’s October close. On Myriad, a prediction market developed by Decrypt’s parent company Dastan, the odds of Bitcoin dropping to $77,500 before month-end rose to 43% from 32% a day earlier, while the chance of reaching $75,000 stood at 18%. The odds of topping $87,500 fell to 10% from 17%.
Why it matters
ETF flows are a closely watched gauge of investor sentiment because issuers report them daily and much of the money comes from institutions and financial advisers. The thin weekly gain leaves October still in the red for Bitcoin funds after a brief midweek return to positive territory, a reminder that a strong start can be erased by a few days of selling. Cryptobriefing noted that with IBIT supplying more than the entire category’s net inflow, spot Bitcoin ETF demand leans heavily on one product. Ether funds moved the opposite way from Bitcoin funds for the week, suggesting investors may be consolidating toward Bitcoin rather than adding broad crypto exposure.
What to watch
The coming week’s daily flow reports from issuers will show whether the late-week selling continued or reversed, and whether IBIT keeps carrying the category. With only days left in October, the month’s final totals and Bitcoin’s price relative to $80,000 remain the immediate data points to track.
This is not financial advice. Prediction-market odds and crypto prices are volatile and uncertain, and the figures here reflect a single week’s reported flows.
