Sentiment stays neutral despite the rebound
Market mood improved only modestly alongside the fund flows. Alternative.me’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index climbed two points to 51, holding inside the “Neutral” band. The reading was previously 63, or “Greed,” a week earlier.
Bitcoin itself traded near $80,818 at the time of publication, up 1.6% over the prior 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.

Ether funds keep losing money
The recovery is uneven across the ETF market. US spot Ether ETFs recorded about $149 million in net outflows on Monday and Tuesday, their fifth consecutive week of withdrawals. October net outflows for the Ether products reached $1.32 billion through Tuesday, a pace that would make it the largest month of redemptions since November 2025.
That contrast matters for allocators tracking the two largest crypto assets through listed vehicles. Bitcoin funds have now erased most of October’s outflow load, while Ether funds have yet to record a single week of gains in this stretch.
Why it matters
ETF flows are one of the few hard, daily signals of how institutional money is moving in crypto, and the two-day bounce shows the selling that closed last week was short-lived rather than the start of a sustained exit. The rebound also put the Bitcoin funds back near flat for the month, a recovery that cushions fund managers and traders who watch flows as a proxy for demand. Ether products remain the outlier, and their prolonged redemptions are likely to keep pressure on sentiment around ETH specifically.
What to watch
Daily flow data from SoSoValue will show whether Tuesday’s pickup extends into a third session or fades again, and the next prints on the Fear & Greed Index will indicate whether neutral sentiment shifts toward greed. The Ether ETF monthly outflow total will also be one to track as October closes.
