Starknet’s STRK token climbed 88% over the week to a $0.12 high, leading a small group of altcoins that gained while most of the market sold off, according to Ambcrypto’s weekly review published October 11. The same report put Mina Protocol at the bottom of a separate list of major losers, down 47%.
Ambcrypto attributed the broader weakness to geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty, with Bitcoin and large altcoins under selling pressure and liquidations adding to the swings. The gainers moved closer to erasing losses from October’s crash, when STRK peaked near $0.30.

Key facts
- Starknet [STRK] rose 88% to a $0.12 high, its strongest level since late Q4 2025.
- Bitway [BTW] gained 35% and approached $1.70, on track for another all-time high after 10 straight weekly green candles.
- Aerodrome Finance [AERO] added 11% and moved past mid-September resistance near $0.92 toward $1.
- Venice Token [VVV] fell 25% after seven winning sessions took it to a record $35, and Sky [SKY] lost 17%.
- Mina Protocol [MINA] dropped 47%, Capricorn [APR] 44% and Chump Coin [CHUMP] 43% as bearish momentum intensified.
Winners cool off near resistance
The rally in STRK has pushed its weekly relative strength index above the level it reached during the prior Q4 advance, a reading Ambcrypto flagged as a pullback risk if buying pressure fades. The daily chart had not cooled, which the outlet described as a sign buyers remain in control and that a move toward $0.15 is possible. For BTW, $1.70 is the level to watch, with $2 as a potential next target if it breaks through, though profit-taking may follow such a run. AERO’s weekly RSI has not reached overbought territory, leaving room for further gains if it clears $1.
Losers seen as cooldowns, not breakdowns
Ambcrypto read the drops in VVV and SKY as corrections rather than the start of deeper selloffs, noting their daily and weekly charts look alike. VVV’s weekly close erased all the gains of the prior week, its first red weekly candle in more than a month. SKY’s decline was its first correction since a rally that began in Q2 2026, after its weekly RSI entered overbought territory.

Rain [RAIN] was the third-largest weekly loser, down 8%, following six straight weeks of losses, with the prior five declines averaging nearly 6%. Ambcrypto said the pattern looked more like strategic distribution than panic selling and that a drop below $0.01 is likely.
Why it matters
The week split the market in two: a handful of tokens with strong technical momentum and most of the rest under pressure. For holders of STRK who bought before October’s crash, the rally has brought long-term positions close to breakeven, a level that can prompt selling. For VVV, SKY and RAIN holders, the question is whether support holds and the moves stay shallow, as Ambcrypto expects, or whether supply keeps overwhelming buyers.
What to watch
Watch whether BTW holds above $1.70 and whether AERO clears $1, the two levels Ambcrypto identified as breakout triggers. On the downside, whether VVV and SKY hold support will determine if their corrections stay shallow, and whether RAIN breaks below $0.01.
