BNB Chain has permanently removed 1,646,196 BNB tokens from circulation in its 37th quarterly auto-burn, an operation valued at $1.197 billion, according to Cointribune. The same report says Binance CEO Richard Teng used the occasion to announce Binance AI Pro, a trading tool that turns plain-language instructions into testable investment strategies.

Cointribune reported that the burn was confirmed by Changpeng Zhao and the Binance teams. The automatic mechanism sets the number of tokens destroyed each quarter based on the BNB price and the volume of blocks produced during that period.

Key facts

  • The 37th quarterly BNB burn destroyed 1,646,196 BNB, valued at roughly $1.197 billion.
  • Remaining supply in circulation stands at 131,512,085 BNB.
  • Richard Teng announced Binance AI Pro, which builds strategies from natural-language prompts.
  • The tool includes a paper trading simulation so users can test algorithms before committing capital.
  • The burn mechanism combines BSC Auto-Burn with Gas Burn.

What the burn does to BNB supply

The destruction of roughly $1.2 billion in tokens reduces the number of BNB available to trade. The stated long-term goal is to bring total supply down to 100 million BNB, which would tighten scarcity with each quarterly cycle. With 131,512,085 BNB still in circulation after this burn, the target remains some distance away.

The process is algorithmic and publicly visible: token destruction is tied to BNB’s price and network activity rather than a discretionary decision by the exchange, which has been the design since the burn was automated.

Binance AI Pro and paper trading

Teng described the tool as one where users can build a strategy in their own words, watch how it performs, and test it through paper trading before deciding to go live. He said no coding or separate registration is needed.

In practice, Binance’s system converts a user’s prompt into an executable algorithm, lays out the scenario, and runs it in a simulation where no real capital is at risk. That lower barrier matters for retail traders who have previously needed programming skills to automate a strategy, and it gives the exchange a way to keep users inside its platform rather than on third-party tools.

Why it matters

The two announcements touch different parts of Binance’s business at once: a supply-side measure that affects every BNB holder, and a product feature aimed at individual traders. Combining them signals that the exchange is leaning on deflationary tokenomics and AI-driven tooling together, rather than treating them as separate projects.

For readers, the practical question is whether easier strategy creation leads to better outcomes. Paper trading removes the financial risk of testing, but simulated results do not guarantee live performance. This is not financial advice, and crypto markets are volatile and uncertain.

What to watch

The next quarterly auto-burn will show whether the reduction pace continues toward the 100 million BNB target. Separately, the response of users to Binance AI Pro’s paper trading feature will indicate whether the natural-language approach finds traction.
